Please remember to order medication that may be required over the Christmas and New Year period in good time. It can take up to 48 hours for specific medications to be available, possibly longer.

When we are closed, you may need to take your pet to the dedicated night and emergency critical care clinic operated by our associated provider, Vets Now at Grove Lodge. Just ring the normal number for our surgeries (Storrington 01903 743040/Steyning 01903 816428/Findon 01903 877325) and your call can be redirected to them or ring Vets Now directly on 01903 954320.

Vets Now is the pet equivalent of an accident and emergency service, dedicated to providing pets with access to a vet out of hours. They have some of the most up-to-date equipment and facilities in the South East to ensure your pet gets the very best care and attention.

Based at Grove Lodge Vets, 18 Upper Brighton Road, Worthing, BN14 9DL, their vets and vet nurses are specially trained to deal with pet emergencies.  Because they don’t work during the day, they’ll be up and ready to see your pet at the time you need them.

We believe our partnership offers you and your pet the very best level of care, day and night.

Welcome To Crossways Veterinary Group

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

We’re pleased to announce that medication for your pet can now be requested via our website.

From the 12th of January 2024 the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), regulatory body for the veterinary profession in the UK, has introduced new guidance on prescribing prescription-only medicines. The full guidance can be found on:
https://www.rcvs.org.uk/setting-standards/advice-and-guidance/under-care-new-guidance/

The new guidance requires that a physical examination of the pet has to be performed every time any antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals & antiparasiticides are prescribed. This includes preparations such as ear & eye drops, and all prescription flea, worm & tick products.

The guidance is an important step towards ensuring responsible antimicrobial use & reducing the veterinary impact on the wider issues of global antibiotic resistance & decline of insect populations.

Our vets must abide by the regulations which apply to all vets in the UK, and it may mean that we will ask you to bring your animal for a physical examination at least every 12 months. Therefore, we may not be able to automatically dispense the medication you wish to order.

We recognise that this new regulation will represent a significant change for our clients as well as the Crossways team. Therefore, to ease the transition & minimise the cost impact on our clients as far as possible, we have introduced some special arrangements that our staff will explain.

Thank you to all our clients who have nominated Crossways for the 'Practice of the Year' award run by Petplan.
