Vaccine Shortages

Industry-wide vaccine shortages

Across Europe & the UK there has been unprecedented demand for cat & dog vaccines & all veterinary practices are being affected by this.

There are no shortages of Dog Vaccines and Crossways has sufficient existing & supplier allocated stock to meet these although we do have to ensure we carefully manage these stocks for our existing clients and any new puppy owners.

There are some shortages in certain Cat Vaccines that are expected to start easing in January 2022. Although we have existing & supplier allocated stock we are having to prioritise this to ensure the best possible welfare & clinical outcomes for our most vulnerable patients.

A primary vaccination course for any kittens & first year boosters for existing clients will continue  to be provided  wherever possible.

Because of the supply issues, adult cat boosters after the first year may be delayed but this should be no longer than 15 months after the last vaccination. In these circumstances the vaccine course may need to be restarted but clients will not incur any additional cost.
